Wear Pads

Wear pads are used on Trepan heads to provide support and balance to the trepan tools while metal cutting is in progress.They are subjected to a lot of wear while in use.They are made on precision machines and carbide tips of suitable grade and quality are brazed on them.The body of the wear pad is ground to suit the pocket in the trepan head and the working surface of the carbide tip is then ground suitably to achieve the required radius for it to perform its function.
